Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes couldn’t help but troll Travis Kelce at the 101 Awards in Missouri last Friday.
Mahomes, who recently received the Derrick Thomas Award, was asked about the Chiefs signing wide receiver Marquise Brown.
After Mahomes praised Brown’s desire to win, he cracked a joke about Kelce’s age. He pretty much joked about the All-Pro tight end being the only old player on Kansas City’s roster.
“I’ve been impressed by how hungry he’s been. You can tell he wants it. He wants to win,” Mahomes said, via Fox 4 KC reporter PJ Green. “Obviously, he wants to do good and everybody wants to do good. But you can tell he wants to be a part of something that’s special, part of greatness.
“We’re trying to build that here and we believe that we’ve started it and we want to continue it. We still have a young team — other than Trav.”
For sad #Chiefs fans, listen to Patrick Mahomes talk about Hollywood Brown..

Well played, Mahomes.
Kelce, 34, probably doesn’t have many years left in the tank. That being said, he’s still a game-changer on the gridiron.
In this year’s postseason alone, Kelce had 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns. He simply had his way with every opposing defense.
