The Kansas City Chiefs released their first depth chart for the 90-man offseason roster ahead of the 2022 NFL preseason.
Keep in mind that these are considered “unofficial” because they are assembled by the team’s PR staff and not the coaching staff. You have to take them with a grain of salt because the coaching staff might have something entirely different in mind. For reference, if you look at the depth chart from Week 1 of the 2017 preseason, Tyler Bray was listed ahead of Patrick Mahomes.
The team will release more depth charts ahead of each preseason game and sometimes they’ll reflect personnel changes, such as new player acquisitions. It can also reflect changes if a player exceeds expectations early on.
