The Kansas City Chiefs will have to wait until the last pick of Round 1 to make their first selection in the 2024 NFL draft.
Barring a trade-up, the Chiefs will have the last choice on Day 1 of the draft for the second straight year.
As such, the defending Super Bowl champions are likely to see some of their favorite prospects come off the board well before they are on the clock with the No. 32 selection.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though. Kansas City has a penchant for finding value in every round, and while the top players won’t fall all the way to the end of the first round, the Chiefs should have plenty of options when their name comes up on Thursday night.
