
Who will the Royals select?
The 2025 MLB draft begins today, having been compressed down to two days, after taking place over three days last year. The first three rounds of the 2025 MLB draft will take place today at 5 p.m. CT, broadcast live from Atlanta on ESPN and MLB Network. Rounds 4-20 will take place on Monday, July 14, beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT and will stream on MLB.com.
Today, the Royals will have the following picks:
#23 (first round)
#28 (Prospect Promotion Incentive)
#61 (second round)
#71 (competitive balance round B)
#97 (third round)
