Game 93 Thread: Pirates vs. Royals

The Pirates didn’t do anything

It’s not often that I write two gamethreads/recaps in a row. But today, I am doing so for the second day in a row. And I am blessed that it is against the Pirates, because guess what I get to write about Veggie Tales!!!

Now, some of you may be wondering, “So, did they represent Jesus Christ as a vegetable?” The answer is, well, no. When Phil Vischer, the creator of the series, brought up his idea to his mom about the show, she basically told him in no uncertain terms that he was not to depict Jesus Christ as a vegetable.

That is, perhaps, objectively funnier than anything the series did. Which is saying something, because it really is quite funny.

In any case, the real Pirates are facing the Royals tonight for the second time. Defeating the Pirates tonight would put the Royals within three games of .500 for the first time since June 24. Let’s do it.
