Between the return of a revamped David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and KU’s record-setting 2026 recruiting class, the future of the program appears bright. Put A Record On: Something Besides ‘Americana’
The fact that “Americana,” as the term is currently used (that is, for just about any country/roots music that doesn’t get played on commercial country radio), encompasses a lot of music I like, then, creates something of a quandary.

QOTD: One of my favorite time killers is browsing through sub-reddits dedicated to lawn care and home improvement type of construction projects. Sometimes this is looking for inspiration on a project I’m working on or thinking about but just as often it’s just entertainment. Close to once a day I’ll find somebody asking a question like this:

I asked a contractor out to give me a bid on this yard clean up and they quoted me $2,400! Isn’t that crazy high for something this simple?

And then all the replies are saying:

Yes, that’s stupidly high. The contractor is telling you his f-you price. He does not want to spend a day doing that. Up to you whether or not it’s worth paying that for it. He’s told you that’s what it will cost him to do it.

Have you ever received a bid or been asked to provide a bid on something that would fairly be described as an f-you price?

One last thing, come on Big 12. Don’t embarrass us like this.

the big 12 is posting ai stadium pictures on their official twitter account and (among other things) all of the end zone text is done in a way that it’s oriented upside if it were in an actual stadium
