‘I wanted to sign after dinner’: How an instant connection led Melvin Council to KU
The first time Melvin Council Jr. stepped foot in Allen Fieldhouse, he got a feeling he couldn’t ignore. Council, who entered the transfer portal in late March, became KU’s last of three portal additions when he committed in mid-April. However, it’s been a long journey for Council to get to KU, who is now at his fourth different school.
