Kansas star freshman Darryn Peterson is set to return to action on Saturday against UCF, the Jayhawks announced on the Big 12 injury report.
“Unless something unforeseen happens, we should have our full compliment of guys going into Saturday’s game,” Kansas head coach Bill Self told reporters on Thursday.
Peterson has dealt with numerous lower-body issues over the course of the season, most recently being sidelined with a quad injury he suffered during a December 13th win against NC State.
The potential future No. 1 overall draft pick has also dealt with cramping and hamstring issues this season.
The Jayhawks are 3-1 in Peterson’s four appearances, while he has averaged 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Kansas finished its non-conference slate 10-3 and is currently ranked as the No. 17 team in the country.
