Kansas commit Bryson Tiller to enroll in January, begin practicing

Class of 2025 five-star power forward Bryson Tiller will enroll at Kansas in January and begin practicing, according to The Kansas City Star.

Tiller — the 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward out of Overtime Elite — signed with Kansas in November over his other finalists Auburn, Georgia Tech and Indiana.

“The plan is right now, at least the latest I’ve heard based on school acceptance and those sorts of things, Bryson Tiller will come here sometime in early January, not to play this year but to redshirt and have four (years) left,” Self told The Star.

“Kansas has a rich history,” Tiller said in November of his decision. “They are known for putting out players in my position. So I feel like if I go there and do what I need to do, then I will have no problem being the next person.”

Tiller is the second player from Overtime Elite to commit to Kansas, following Samis Calderon. Kansas also has 2025’s No. 3 overall prospect Darryn Peterson signed.

“Me and Samis are good friends,” Tiller said. “We know how to play off each other pretty well. It’s going to be a good experience going out there with him and winning.”

“We are excited about Bryson,” Self said when he signed. “We feel like he’s a top 10 player in this class that hasn’t had a chance to play the last six months with an ankle injury. His upside is undeniable, and he’s been well trained. Bryson provides a versatility for us that he can play some five, but he can also play the four, very similar to the way KJ (Adams) has in his KU career.”

Tiller was part of the City Reapers squad that won the OTE finals in 2024.

“Bryson embodies everything that OTE stands for, and he’s been a force since the day he joined as our first sophomore,” OTE head of competition Damien Wilkins said. “Watching him put in the work and develop into the player he’s become has been a pleasure. His leadership, unmatched work ethic and patience through adversity have laid an amazing foundation for what he will bring to the next level.”
