Unlike college football, prominent college hoops programs aren’t afraid to schedule marquee non-conference contests. Kansas’ latest scheduling addition has Jayhawks fans excited for next season and beyond.
Kansas and USC have announced a future home-and-home series set to begin in 2020. The first contest between the Big 12 and Pac-12 programs will take place at Phog Allen FieldHouse on Dec. 19, 2020.
The return game of the series will then head to Southern California at the Galen Center. That second game will commence on Dec. 21, 2021 with USC set to host the Jayhawks.
This type of series is what college basketball is all about. Neutral-court tournaments provide a great setting, but home-and-home series are a fan favorite. The first game of the series, coming later this year, will be one of the best non-conference games of the entire season.

The Trojans and the Jayhawks have played each other a total of 16 times with Kansas winning 11 of the 16 meetings. The Jayhawks have also won seven straight in the series as USC’s last win over KU came in 1978.
The Trojans are a program on the rise within the Pac-12, but Kansas will likely enter the 2020 season a top-five team – perhaps even as the top ranked team in the country.
This will be a fun one to watch early in the 2020 season.
