Five-star unsigned senior Bryson Tucker ‘split’ between pro and college route

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Five-star senior Bryson Tucker put on a nice display of scoring, length and next-level upside in Bishop O’Connell’s (VA.) 63-54 win over Cardinal Ritter (MO.), posting 17 points (15 in the 3rd quarter), 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks at Sunday’s HoopHall Classic.

“I feel like I’m playing really well,” he said postgame. “I’m just staying focused, handling the doubles well and all the different defenses are just helping me learn and get better.”

The 6-foot-6 wing has taken visits to Kansas and Michigan State, though the G League Ignite remain a strong option.

“Right now, it’s kind of even,” he said. “We are looking at all the options, seeing which one is best. It’s probably split.”

Tucker, who said he’ll commit around the end of his high school season, broke down his three top options:

Kansas (11/10 official): “It was nice just seeing all the facilities and how they play, how I fit in their system. They’ve just been telling me to watch them and how I fit in their system. I just got to keep going, keep getting better and then be ready to play on that type of stage.”

Michigan State: “It’s the same thing, actually. They like their wing players, so they just see how my game can fit in their system.”

G League Ignite: “You’re a pro that early. You’re getting all the things you need for the next level at an early age and just got to keep going.”

Tucker has no other visits planned at this time.
