Kansas State gets a signing day surprise, plus notes on Women’s basketball win over Texas Tech
Yesterday was national signing day. It’s turned into an anti-climactic day with the advent of the Early Signing Day for football, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t anyone new to sign.
The Wildcats added three players yesterday. Both Sam Shields, and Hadley Panzer had been verbally committed to Kansas State for months, while the surprise addition yesterday was a JUCO DE, Tyrone Taleni. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)
Also yesterday, the media got their first look at the newest Wildcat QB Will Howard. Kellis has some video of Howard’s media session.
It was signing day for the other sports as well, including Soccer. Coach Dibbini added a pair of twins from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma after initially believing they were one player, who happened to play multiple positions. (Mike Brown, Tulsa World)
Finally, the women’s basketball team snagged a victory over Texas Tech last night 84-70. Freshman Ayoka Lee led the way again for the Wildcats with 24 points. (Greg Woods, Mercury Manhattan)
