No. 1 Texas recruit Jeremiah Green breaks down official visits, targets summer commitment

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Jeremiah Green, a four-star point guard and the No. 1 player out of Texas in the class of 2025, was one of the most impressive players at this weekend’s HoopHall Classic.

The 6-foot-2 Sunrise Christian (KS.) product posted a double-double Saturday, with 19 points and 11 assists, while shooting 7-for-13 from the field. Green showed a unique playmaking ability, controlling the pace and attacking the rim off the bounce.

“I’m a really dynamic point guard that stands out from everyone else,” he told ZAGSBLOG postgame. “I can really get downhill and make plays off of that. Most importantly, I try to show I’m a two-way player by getting my teammates involved, scoring and then getting back on defense and making a stop.”

He has taken official visits to Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Auburn while he’s been on unofficials to Kansas State and Houston.

“I’m looking to commit this summer, probably before my senior year,” he said. “Right now, I’m just trying to focus on narrowing the list.”

Green broke down his visits to ZAGSBLOG:

Auburn: “It was great getting to talk to coach [Bruce] Pearl in person again, getting to know him better. Seeing the team, the playstyle and what they have planned for me, it was a great visit.”

Oklahoma State: “I’m very familiar with them. I’ve been talking to them for a long time. Getting to see them in person again and doing the official visit was great for me.”

Texas A&M: “We’re very close. The plan they got for me, giving me the ball and let me go, get my teammates better and I’d just do the most to help them win.”

Kansas State: “I’ve known them for a while, too. Right now, it’s just building a better relationship and getting to know them better, and obviously, [hearing] their plan for me going forward.”

Houston: “Coach [Kelvin] Sampson has a lot of love for me. I just love the way they produce dawgs. They’re great on defense, they win and it’s not that far from home.”
