The Wildcats had a big weekend on the recruiting trail, securing three commitments, and Drew has the details.
Hope you enjoyed Father’s Day Weekend. Rest assured, the Kansas State coaching staff enjoyed theirs. They landed three intriguing prospects who I consider top-notch clay for the coaching staff to mold. Since Coach Klieman made his way to Manhattan in 2019, he’s stressed the importance of bringing in elite athletes and figuring out what to do with them once they’re on campus. All three of the commits from last weekend fit that mold.
New Commits
*Note: I’ll have complete breakdowns of these guys out later; this is just the basic info.
Kingston Hall – 6’4”, 270 – DL
High School: Tahlequah (Tahlequah, Oklahoma)
Recruiting Industry Rating: No Consensus Rating
Hall is a freak of nature.
Seriously, if you haven’t watched the above tape, stop what you’re doing and watch the above tape. I’ve watched more of these highlight reels than I care to think, but this one stands out. This dude also runs on the track team. You read that correctly, runs…as in the 100-meters…. and runs it at a respectable 12.27 seconds. He is listed at 6’3”, 270. Imagine thinking you’re a good runner and then getting outsprinted by a dude this big.
Versatility is one of his strengths. He’s athletic enough to play on the edge as a strong-side defensive end and is strong enough to slide inside and play the 3-tech defensive tackle spot in a 4-man front. Look for him to be a mid-to-high 3-star once his rating gets sorted out. He has all the tools, but plays at a small school and will need to show he can put it all together against better opponents that he doesn’t physically overwhelm.
Garrick Dixon – 6’0”, 175 – Defensive Back
High School: Ft. Zumwalt West (O’Fallon, MO)
Recruiting Industry Rating: 3* (84.55)
This is one of those “trust the coaching staff” deals; luckily, I trust this coaching staff. Dixon camped at K-State last week. The Wildcat coaches liked what they saw, offered him a scholarship, and he committed a little over a week later.
Like most Wildcat defensive backs, Dixon is tall for the position and possesses great speed, especially for his size. He fits the physical mold the coaching staff wants and could play either corner or safety in the defense. Sometimes you see a guy who is too good to pass up, and Dixon was that guy.
Hannibal Navies Sr. – 6’2”, 180 – Defensive Back
High School: Grayson (Loganville, GA)
Recruiting Industry Rating: No Consensus Rating
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Hannibal Navies Sr. starred at Colorado in the late ‘90s and had a seven-year NFL career. Junior is an intriguing safety prospect playing at one of the nation’s premier high school football programs and says he’s headed to Kansas State next year. I like the sound of that.
Navies remind me of fellow Peach State recruit VJ Payne. He’s big, tall, fast, and arrives with bad intentions. He plays safety with a linebacker mentality and will have the attention of any receiver with designs on catching a pass over the middle of the field. He should be physically and mentally prepared to play early in his hypothetical K-State career.
Current Recruit News: Miles Teodecki Gets a Fourth Star
I profiled Kansas State quarterback commit Miles Teodecki last week (click here for the article) and mentioned that I felt the recruiting services undervalued him. ESPN seems to agree with my assessment and awarded him a four-star (80) rating as their initial evaluation. I wouldn’t be surprised if the other rating services follow suit eventually. He’s the first player in Kansas State’s 2026 recruiting class to receive a fourth star.
