Isaac Koch (b. March 9, 2004) is a preferred walk-on wide receiver majoring in pre-professional business administration who redshirted in 2022 with no playing time.
He played in eight games in 2023 as a regular member of the kickoff return, punt return and kickoff coverage units, earning first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors.
Koch then played in every game last season as a regular member of both the kickoff return and punt return units. In all, he saw time on 103 special teams plays, including a career-high 13 in the Rate Bowl against Rutgers.
Koch, who has yet to record an official catch, did play as a reserve wide receiver against UT Martin, West Virginia and Cincinnati in 2024, finishing as an Academic All-Big 12 performer.
He prepped under head coach Kelly Donohoe at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, where he was a two-time first team all-district selection who also was a second-team all-state pick as a senior after accumulating 839 all-purpose yards.
Koch hauled in 38 receptions for 582 yards and five touchdowns during his final high school season, including a game with 203 yards.
He tallied 27 catches for 369 yards and five scores as a high school junior, and also was a two-time academic all-state performer who was widely acclaimed for his strong work ethic.
Koch’s father, Randy, was a linebacker for Kansas State, lettering in 1986 through 1988.
Isaac walked on at K-State over offers from Missouri State, Northwest Missouri State, South Dakota, as well as a preferred walk-on offer from Kansas.
