Kaedin Massey (June 16, 2005) is a talented young offensive tackle who is majoring in computer engineering. Although large enough to play as a true freshman, he redshirted and did not play in 2024 in order to add more weight and muscle.
A four-year letter-winner under head coach Michael Massey at Lyndon High School, Massey was rated the 28th-best offensive tackle in the nation for the Class of 2024 by 247Sports.
He also was viewed as the third-best overall prospect in the state of Kansas by both On3 and Rivals, and named the 2023 Sports in Kansas Offensive Lineman of the Year among small classes as he helped lead Lyndon to a perfect 13-0 record and a state championship.
A first-team all-state honoree as both a junior and senior by The Wichita Eagle, Sports in Kansas and KSHSAA Covered, Massey also was the state heavyweight champion in weightlifting for the clean, while he was an all-state performer in the discus and shot put, as well as a second-team all-state honoree in basketball.
Massey chose K-State over offers from Duke, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Stanford.
His primary recruiter was his former position coach, Conor Riley, who was assisted by K-State director of football recruiting Taylor Braet.
Massey’s father, Lanny, played football at Emporia State, while his mother, Dawn, played basketball at both Washington State and Emporia State. His sibling, Khylee, was a basketball player at Southwest Baptist, while their uncle, Brad, was a track and field athlete at K-State.
Conor Riley pretty much summed it all up in this December 2023 tweet:
Born to be a part of the #BEEF love watching this dude continue to grow. He is home grown #BEEF
