The Wildcats are back in Bramlage to face a tough Knights squad.

While the start of the road trip for the Kansas State Wildcats was not to plan, the second game had to Cats return to for with a 90-53 drubbing of Cincinnati on Wednesday evening. The MittieCats, despite the loss last weekend, still sit in a tie for first place in the Big 12 with a mark of 11-2 in league play, and 23-3 overall season record.

Today, the Cats welcome in the Knights of UCF. The last time these two teams faced off, also in Bramlage, it was a much closer game than anticipated, but one the Wildcats were able to pull it out with a 60-58 win. And while the Knights have taken a step back this year and sit at just 9-14 on the season and 2-11 in Big 12 play, they feature one of the best players in the conference in Kaitlin Peterson, who is second in the Big 12 in scoring at 21.4 points per game (even with receiving the focus of the opposing defense), and just dropped in 34 points in UCF’s 85-76 win over Arizona State on Wednesday night.

So K-State puts it’s 15-game home winning streak on the line this afternoon. They need to keep the energy and aggression up, even if this is a team that they should steamroll. They should have steamrolled the Knights last year as well, and we saw how that turned out.

We’ve got a 4:00pm CT tipoff for the game this evening from Bramlage Coliseum, and you can catch the action on ESPN+ with Brian Smoller (play-by-play), Missy Heidrick (analyst), and Hannah Whetstone (sidelines) on the call.

If you can’t access the stream, the game can be heard across portions of the 28-station K-State Sports Network with Matt Walters (play-by-play) and Shaelyn Floyd (analyst) calling the action. The game will also be available online at K-Statesports.com and via the Varsity Network app. Live stats are also available at k-statesports.com, and social media updates (@KStateWBB) will also be a part of the coverage.

Go Cats!
