2025 K-State Women’s Basketball: Game 26 at Cincinnati

February 13, 2025 by Bring On The Cats

Kansas Jayhawks guard Laia Conesa (6) struggles to get away from the pressure of Kansas State Wildcats Jaelyn Glenn (3) and Serena Sundell (4) in the fourth quarter of a Big 12 women’s basketball game between the Kansas State Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks on February 2, 2025 at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, KS.

The Wildcats look to get back on track tonight while on the road to face the Bearcats.

Things probably could have gone worse for Kansas State last weekend in Stillwater, but thankfully the embarrassing 30-point defeat at the hands of the Cowgirls didn’t also include any injuries or suspensions. So, silver lining.

The MittieCats (22-3, 10-2 Big 12) still sit atop the Big 12, just back in a tie for first again, and still have everything to play for. But they can’t have any more efforts like the one in Stillwater if they want to finish in a position for the regular season conference crown.

So tonight they will look to get back in the groove against a Cincinnati squad that sits in the middle of the Big 12 at 14-8, and 6-6 in Big 12 play. This will be K-State’s first rematch game of the season, and previously beat up on the Bearcats 76-59 in Bramlage back before Christmas in the conference opener.

This is a game K-State should win, and needs to win. Hopefully they bounce back strong from that setback in Oklahoma.

We’ve got a 5:30pm CT tipoff for the game this afternoon from Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, and you can catch the action on ESPN+ with Anthony Mazzini (play-by-play) and AB Stocks (analyst) on the call.

If you can’t access the stream, the game can be heard across portions of the 28-station K-State Sports Network with Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Randy Peterson (analyst) calling the action. The game will also be available online at K-Statesports.com and via the Varsity Network app. Live stats are also available at k-statesports.com, and social media updates (@KStateWBB) will also be a part of the coverage.

Go Cats!
