The offseason roster is beginning to fill out a bit for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 2021 Chiefs have undergone some roster transformation from the previous year. It’s mostly involved moving on from certain players rather than adding heavily through free agency. The front office in Kansas City seems comfortable cutting guys and letting some of their free agents walk, but they’ve also prioritized retaining some of their guys on short-term contracts.
By our count, the Chiefs have 68 players currently on the roster. Between the remainder of free agency, the 2021 NFL draft and undrafted free agency, the Chiefs will need to add 22 more players to the 90-man offseason roster.
