With the No. 159 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Penn State offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad.
A former member of the Cornell Big Red in the Ivy League, Nourzad has the brains to pick up Andy Reid’s offense quickly and should blossom into an above-average backup as a rookie.
Though the Chiefs already picked up a lineman in the second round by selecting BYU tackle Kingsley Suamataia, Nourzad is set to make his presence felt on the interior of Kansas City’s front-five, projecting best as a guard or center.
Clearly, general manager Brett Veach is set on shoring up the Chiefs’ offensive depth. With this pick, Nourzad became the latest prospect to get a chance to compete for a Super Bowl LIX title with Patrick Mahomes in Andy Reid’s offense.
