Should the Chiefs activate WR Skyy Moore for Super Bowl LIX?

February 2, 2025 by Chiefs Wire

The Kansas City Chiefs may have an interesting decision to make ahead of their Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Last week, the Chiefs opened veteran wide receiver Skyy Moore’s practice window to return from Kansas City’s injured reserve list.

That means Moore, who caught a touchdown pass in the Chiefs’ victory over Philadelphia in Super Bowl LVII, may potentially be able to return in time for the Big Game on Sunday.

Kansas City made several moves to revamp its depth at the wide receiver position heading into the season, but injuries have nonetheless affected the availability of the Chiefs’ pass-catchers throughout the team’s 2024 campaign.

Free agent addition Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown was injured in the preseason, and second-year wideout Rashee Rice missed most of the regular season and remains on Kansas City’s injured reserve list.

Given Moore’s experience in the Super Bowl and the stakes of Sunday’s game, it may make sense for the Chiefs to get Moore back into their lineup if he is healthy enough to play.
