An undrafted free agent was about to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers before he had a change of heart.
Undrafted free agent linebacker Luquay Washington was going to sign with the Chargers before changed his mind and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.

He projects to be a contributor on special teams and could be a reserve/backup at linebacker during the season.
He spent his collegiate career at Central Connecticut and finished with 52 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, three interceptions, and three passes defended.
This signing continues the trend of the Chiefs owning the Chargers in their rivalry. The Chiefs have won five in a row and eight of their last 10 against the Chargers. The Chargers last beat the Chiefs in September of 2021.
The Chiefs also lead the all-time series with a 69-58-1 record.
They’ll look to continue their recent dominance over them when the 2024 season starts in September. They’ll play them twice again and find out when the games will be when the schedule comes out later this offseason.
