The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 season ended after the team’s humiliating 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bow LIX on Sunday.
Despite the Chiefs’ lackluster performance, a few of Kansas City’s players managed to put together respectable showings against the Eagles that helped keep the final score relatively close.
Though Philadelphia managed to score 40 points, the Chiefs’ defense was dominant throughout most of Sunday’s heartbreaking loss, especially when it came to stopping Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
The experts at Pro Football Focus took notice of defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton’s efforts in the lopsided contest.
PFF assessed that Wharton was Kansas City’s top performer in the game, and awarded him an outstanding 90.1 grade in the game, which was the highest mark among all of the Chiefs’ players:

Wharton’s contract is set to expire in the offseason, but his standout performance in Super Bowl LIX may be enough to convince Chiefs general manager Brett Veach to resign him before he hits the open market in free agency.
