Welcome to Arrowhead Pride’s 2025 NFL Draft live blog. This year, the festivities come to us from the legendary “Titletown” in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
On opening night, TV coverage will be provided by ABC (locally on KMBC/9), NFL Network, ESPN and ESPN Deportes. That coverage will also be streamed on NFL+ and the ABC and ESPN apps. You can listen on SiriusXM, Westwood One and ESPN Radio.
Here we will bring you Jared Sapp’s live updates regarding Kansas City Chiefs rumors, pick reactions, trade updates, hot takes and more — while also providing for discussion in the comments.
Barring any last-minute trades, the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars are scheduled to have the first picks of the draft. The Chiefs are scheduled to have one first-round pick: No. 31.
[10:44 p.m.]

The Chiefs close the first round by trading back for a player many expected them to trade up for. Simmons’ knee is a concern. However, he may also be the best chance the Mahomes era Chiefs ever get to draft a starting tackle, given their typical deep postseason runs. Sometimes you have to take a “go big or go home” approach.
The Chiefs are next scheduled to pick on Friday with the 63rd overall selection.
[10:36 p.m.]
With the No. 31 overall pick in the 2025 @NFLDraft, the @Eagles select Jihaad Campbell. @NewEraCap

The Eagles stop the slide of Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell. Considered one of the draft’s best defenders, Campbell’s stock has fallen with reports of a shoulder injury that may leave him unavailable for the season’s start.
The Chiefs reportedly had made their selection before Campbell was announced. They have widely been connected to Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons, who likely would have been a top 20 selection if not for a major knee injury. Kansas City’s true feelings on Simmons’ recovery are about to be known.
[10:29 p.m.]
With the No. 30 overall pick in the 2025 @NFLDraft, the @BuffaloBills select Maxwell Hairston. @NewEraCap

Denver would pass on the position all together, however, to select Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron.
