The Kansas City Chiefs will have to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on February 9 to become the first team in NFL history to achieve a championship three-peat.
This feat, which is rarely achieved in any of the major American sports leagues, would further cement the Chiefs’ place in league history, and add credibility to future discussions about all-time superlatives.
But, according to the experts at Next Gen Stats, Kansas City’s offense won’t have an easy time moving the ball against Philadelphia.
In a post to Twitter, Next Gen Stats revealed that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ tendency to throw passes behind the line of scrimmage will be tested by the Eagles defense, which has been among the best units in the NFL at stopping such passes.

Expect Mahomes and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid to get creative in their game plan for Philadelphia as they look to bring Kansas City its third-consecutive Super Bowl title.
