While it is unclear if star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins intends to suit up for the Kansas City Chiefs next season, he has had a lucrative 12-year career in the NFL that has been worth celebrating regardless of who he has played for.
According to data sourced by Spotrac, Hopkins has earned a total of $140,120,109. A large portion of his career earnings came from his time with the Houston Texans.
The Texans picked Hopkins in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft, and he went on to log 802 receiving yards in his rookie year. Hopkins continued to develop with each consecutive season and earned himself a massive five-year $81,000,000 contract extension in 2017.
However, he wouldn’t remain with Houston through the full term of that extension. A controversial trade by the Texans sent him to the Arizona Cardinals roster, where he continued to excel.
Hopkins earned $54,878,881 with the Cardinals before he was signed to a two-year $26,000,000 contract by the Tenessee Titans in 2023.
In the final year of that deal, he was traded to the Chiefs. He is now set to enter free agency after the completion of the 2024 season.
