The Kansas City Chiefs have released an updated version of their depth chart ahead of the Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts. The roster has undergone some personnel changes since Week 1 due to injury and suspension.
Generally speaking, these give you an idea of where a player is on the depth chart, but they’re not always entirely accurate. They’re considered “unofficial” because they’re assembled by the team’s PR staff and not the coaching staff. The depth chart might not accurately reflect what happens on game day as a result of that. However, the PR staff does have access to the teams’ closed practices and they don’t purposely mislead. It’s just intended to be a fluid document that evolves as the roster changes throughout the season.
