The Kansas City Chiefs have added their first player from the XFL.
Kenny Zuckerman of Priority Sports & Entertainment announced that his client, QB Jordan Ta’amu, will sign with the Chiefs. Ta’amu was the starting quarterback for the St. Louis BattleHawks in the XFL’s 2020 relaunch. He played for former Chiefs TE Jonathan Hayes, who was the head coach of the BattleHawks.
Ta’amu recorded the highest completion percentage in the XFL (72%) while recording third-most passing yards (1,050). He threw five touchdowns and two interceptions in five games. He also had the most rushing yards of any quarterback with 41 carries for 217 yards and a score.
Ta’amu joins a quarterback room that features Patrick Mahomes, Chad Henne and Kyle Shurmur.
