With the preseason officially over, the Kansas City Chiefs are squarely focused on preparing for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. A spectacular three-game stretch in exhibition play has the team in a great position heading into their largest cuts as the roster slims to 53 players.
This game against Minnesota was the last chance for several of the Chiefs’ bubble players to make an impression. The 28-25 win at home wasn’t as close a game as the final score would indicate, but an excellent showing all around. Undefeated in the preseason, Kansas City looked dominant on defense in all three of their matchups and showed growth in every phase of the game. Though preseason doesn’t count for much outside of the momentum built in the process, the outcomes the team was able to produce are reasons for optimism.
