The Kansas City Chiefs came away with the 2024 NFL draft’s fastest player on Thursday night, but their work this week is far from over.
With six more rounds set to take place over the next two days, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach will have his hands full until Saturday evening, when the event draws to a close.
Many talented prospects remain on the board entering the draft’s second day, and some are sure to fall to Kansas City’s next selection at No. 64 in the second round.
Veach parted with the Chiefs’ third-round choice in a trade up with the Buffalo Bills to secure Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the No. 28 selection, which may limit Kansas City’s options late on Day 2.
